Your reference is taken from FabLabs. Myself and my son are interested in learning eletronics and Robotics right from start as we are zero in that. Can you suggest books, sources and learning tutorials to start with.

I am also interested in doing following projects to start with to help me solve my problems, learn and possibly help other who face similar problems.

1. I have old laptop with IDE hard disk of 160 Gb. Now all manufactures have stopped making IDE hard disk and are now offering SATA hard disk which does not work in old Laptops with IDE connector(forcing to go for new Laptop with SATA connector). However in desktop I am given to understand from suppliers there is card available which can use SATA hard disk from IDE connectors (in desktop). So would like to do it and see if that is workable.

2. My son is interested in learning / practical examples of Robotics.

3. Make my own wireless router.

4. Small toy car running on water. and so and so…

So would like to combine many projects and learning together which is also useful.
